Child Protection
Bengal’s Hope is working to build community and family resources to prevent child trafficking, abuse and pornography.
Education on Healthy Relationships
Bengal’s Hope has trained hundreds of children on the differences between healthy relationships and child sexual abuse. One of the methods used is the “good touch/bad touch” concept. Bengal’s Hope educates children on the risks and dangers of pornography. This has expanded this training to teach an additional 600 children. Bengal’s Hope also worked with 180 parents in 2020-2021 to discuss the importance of child protection and empowerment through its training platform, “The story about Me”. They also trained 600 community members on human trafficking prevention. BH reached 30 students through sports in 2021. In 2022-2023, BH hopes to expand its child protection and empowerment resources that further educate children and families on child protection, trafficking, abuse prevention, and healthy relationships. BH hopes to also reach children in schools by developing a child protection course that could be added to the curriculum.
Awareness Events for Parents and Kids
It has been great to see the numbers of people blessed through these events held at local churches. 300 attended Human Trafficking Awareness events. 448 moms and dads learned how to talk with their kids about sexual topics and bad touch. 1106 teen boys and girls also attended youth meetings where they had fellowship, food and learned about the dangers of porn and the importance of purity.
