Helping Homeless & During COVID

The world has changed a lot in just a short time due to COVID. Bengal’s Hope has been trying our best to learn of the needs in various communities and do what they can to help. They have been able to partner with several Indian brothers they have known over the years and through them have been able to provide food. So far Bengal’s Hope has bought and given away enough food to feed about 2500 men, women and children.  They hope to keep feeding more. Many of the day laborers and tea garden workers are really suffering at this time. Bengal’s Hope even ordered hundreds of masks that has been given to those that need them. 

There are several other ways to go about helping as well. One way Bengal’s Hope helps is by providing several leaders food to distribute to those in need that are in their villages. Another way is through two social work organizations that the police have given approval to distribute food and meals. Lastly, continued help to those that have come to the front door for food. Bengal’s Hope has also been searching the village finding those who need food. BH has also been able to help hundreds of homes be sprayed. Spraying homes is something that the health officials do here, however many houses in the tea fields and slum areas don't get sprayed. This spray is a bleach mixture that is supposed to help reduce the chance of COIVD 19 spreading. Many thanks to all those that are helping feed so many of those in need. You are helping so many.
